Tears of Pearls will be available tonight at @badappleartists Slavic Fairytale auction ❤️ “I wish that when she weeps her tears may be changed into so many pearls.” “And I,” replied the second, “that when she smiles sweet roses may fall from her lips.” “My wish,” said the third, “is that whenever she dips her hands into water there shall appear in it shining gold-fish.” Along with these three wishes, I decided to paint her with duck wings instead of arms. ✨ It’s slowly coming together! This is the end of the point of a painting where “things feel a little off and I am lost on how to continue.” That feeling can be overwhelming but if I pick any spot and start painting, I can usually f
✨ It’s slowly coming together! This is the end of the point of a painting where “things feel a little off and I am lost on how to continue.” That feeling can be overwhelming but if I pick any spot and start painting, I can usually figure out where to go next. Still a bit left to go, the hat and cat on the balcony are still in the early layers. I think when I paint those in, the whole piece will come together! Then it’s just adjusting the values. One of the great things about being an artist is that feeling of bringing something to life. I’ve painted Luna on her lap and being able to see her comfortably snuggle up someplace warm and safe makes me feel happy. #beautifulbizarre #bigeyeart
